Our not-so-humble goal with Tomahawk is to fundamentally change the way music is consumed and shared. Instead of sharing links to specific and unique instances of a particular copy of a song, Tomahawk abstracts away all that complexity so the info about songs is shared. By using the metadata only, Tomahawk will then find the best source to play the song based on the listener’s available music sources, not the sharers.
This approach creates a universal translation layer… across music service providers, music repositories and geographic territories.
So, give it a try, lend a hand and spread the word. Let’s break down the walls and get the music flowing again.
